Tiny Tony was surrendered to RSPCA Victoria Inspector Sarah at only 6 weeks old when his owner could not provide the care he desperately needed. Our vets found that the poor kitten was suffering from a severely ruptured eye, likely due to serious cat flu that was left untreated.
Without surgery, poor Tony would be in awful, prolonged pain and face a high risk of infection, which could lead to sepsis and death. There was no time to waste.
Tony spent 12 days recovering in our clinic post-surgery and receiving the best possible care while also learning how to adapt to normal kitten life with only one eye.
